We order our books from the library choosing from their ‘multiple copies’ lists and we attempt a democratic choice by everyone ticking books they would like to read. It doesn’t always work but we take the view that the point of belonging to a book group is to read books you might not otherwise have chosen from the shelves or the book shop! Some books promote a lot of discussion but we always have an interesting chatty meeting.
